Torito Tapas Bar
Trying out another place at the Kensington Market. The place was small and romantic, pretty cozy place. The servers are really nice and friendly and loves to help explain the food. I started off with a cocktail - Lychee Cava. You can smell the lychee but you can't taste it. It was so hard to decide what to get as everything sounds so good. We narrowed it down to 4 dishes. First and my favourite of the night is the - Clams a la Barcelona, bacon and onions. The broth was amazing. It was a bit salty with the bacon but it was tasty. We were wishing that there was some bread to dip this delicious broth and minutes later, the waiter brought as a plate of bread! It was like they can read our minds! We soaked that bowl clean before they took it away.

Next came the Octopus with chickpeas. The octopus was cooked very tendered, very easy to chew up. Wish there were a few more pieces of octopus though.

The next dish is the Steak frites and Peewee fried egg with chimichurri Sauce. This is the first time I had an egg on top of my steak. The steak was cut up into slices - cooked medium. The frites was crispy but the steak did not have much taste with sauce. Maybe it needed a little bit more of seasoning to bring out the taste.

Finally, we had the Rossejat - Paella Style Pasta with shrimps and alioli. It was wheat spaghetti like pasta and it was cooked perfectly with the alioli. There were big pieces of shrimp on top.

It was a very satisfying meal. We were very full after the 4 dishes between the 2 of us. No room for dessert.
