In the beginning, they mixed up our reservations and couldn't get us a table till after 8:30pm. We were going to leave and go to another place but then they said they do have a table for us. The restaurant was rustic feel, small but comforting. We started off with the "Elk Sliders" - mirin galangal glaze & pickles. The serving only came with 3 but they were nice enough to add a 4th one so we can all get to try some. The elk was seared to medium rare, the mirin glaze and the pickles matched perfectly on the piece of toast.

We all decided to get something different so we were able to try it all. I got the duck confit with elk sausage and pork belly on top of white beans. It was all in one. The duck leg was with crispy skin. The pork belly was tender with crispy skin on top. The portion was pretty big.

My friends had sticky ribs ...

Steak Hache a Cheval ~ freshly ground Scotch mountain beef cooked medium rare and topped w/ fried egg

Pasta with hedge hog

The food was decent but it was pretty pricy main dishes. The atmosphere was great, comfy to have a seat down meal and catch up with friends.
