  • Mangosteens Thai Cuisine

Was in the west end this afternoon so decided to try some thai food. This place was in a small plaza hiding in a corner. The waitress was very friendly and great service. They had very good lunch deal - $7.95 for appetizer and main dish. I was debating between the pad thai or the red curry chicken, at the end, I went with the pad thai. For appetizer, you had a choice between spring roll or sweet and sour soup. I was starving so it did seemed like it took awhile for the food to come. But when it did, it smell so good. The spring roll was nice and hot and crispy. The pad thai had chicken and shrimp, usually you had to choose either or but this came with both so that's a bonus! The tamarind sauce was good, not like the other places I have tried where it was just heavy ketchup taste. There was also a good portion of chopped peanuts on the side as well. The lunch portion was good enough for me, I was pretty after finishing my noodles.

Would come back to try another dish next time if I'm in the area!
