  • Cafe Polonez

Finally had a chance to try an authentic Polish restaurant. The place looks newly renovated. It was a pretty big place and looks like there are lots of locals coming, family style restaurant. We order the Hungarian potato pancake - potato pancake stuffed with goulash. The first time I had goulash was in Hungary and it was so good. This one was similar but the beef was not as tender. Maybe if we got it in a soup, it may be more tender. But the potato pancake was amazing!! It was soft yet has potato taste and it doesn't taste like it was made from powder.

And the Polish platter for 2 - cabbage rolls, pierogi and polonez schnitzel. The platter was a great way of trying out all the different food. I really like the polonez schnitzel. The pork was thin and the breading was really thin as well and there was some sweet taste to it that I like. Also, the fried mushrooms served on top was good combination with the schnitzel. Very good place to try Polish food, need to bring my parents here next time so they can re-try the European food they had.
