  • Gyu-kaku East Village

After an exhausting walk in the heat, we finally located this restaurant and luckily, there was no wait so we got a table immediately. When we got there, it was nearly 2pm but the place was still packed. But we got a good spacious table to sit. They have some good lunch specials for Yakiniku set meals. We got a set of the Meat Lover set with Rosu Sliced Ribeye and Yakishabu Brisket Miso. And then we got the Kobe style beef set with Kobe Style Bistro Hanger Steak Miso and Kobe Style Flap Steak Miso.

The food came pretty fast so we started grilling. The sauce they marinated it with was so tasty. The soy sauce they had for dipping was awesome. I really liked the spicy one. I really like the beef brisket one, the slices were thin and with the sauce was good. We surprisingly didn't like the kobe beef as much, maybe we cooked it too long so it was not tender anymore. We ended up getting another plate of beef brisket because it was so good.

After this we had to try the green tea mille crepe. Even though we were full, this dessert was really light but delicious. It is layers of thin crepe with green tea filling in between each layer served with green tea ice-cream. The crepes were really thin.
