  • Lucky's Cafe

Another cafe introduced in "Diner's Drives-in & Dives" shows that is in Cleveland in the Tremont area. We got there around 2:30pm thinking that the lunch crowd would die down but no! There was still a 45 minute wait for a table, unbelievable. But since we came all the way there, we waited for it.

It was a small place, lots of tables in the confined space. There were display cases out in the front of pastries, cupcakes and different selection of coffees etc. for those who are too hungry and need to start eating now.

The menu was straight forward on one page. I was going to try the Luck's Reuben but for some reason, at that time, I felt like eating some comfort food. So instead, I picked the "bruleed steel cut oatmeal".

After enjoying my coffee (bottomless winky), my oatmeal arrived. It looks delicious! And it tasted amazing. I never though oatmeal can taste so good. Don't know what they put int there but wow, I want to know how to make it that good. It was sweet with maple syrup that is caramelized on the top mix with raisins. It is served with eggs baked in cream and spinach and parmesan. The egg was perfectly poached, perfect to dip with the toast.

It was definitely worth the wait for the table. The food is amazing and the service is great.
