  • The Burger's Priest

I went to meet up with my old boss trying to get some career advise from my current situation. It was good just catching up. She was by far my favourite boos I had so far, maybe not a good thing that I met her so early in my life that any bosses I have now are just incomparable. My old office was at the east end and it was right across from this famous burger place - another small hole in the wall - Burger's Priest.

We already went there at 1:30pm thinking we would avoid the crazy lunch crowd. But no... line up was out the door and they even had a policy that you can't even eat in there, only take out (they only have a few high chairs and a little ledge to hold the burger. As similar to many local food shacks, they have very limited menu selection and in fact, very little explanation on what is in the burger choices.

I ended up getting "the Priest" - which was a combination of "the Option" and "the cheese burger". The Option is the veggie burger which has portabello mushroom topped with cheese and cover in panko crumbs and then fried. And for the carnivore me, I topped it with the cheese burger. The burger was on the expensive side, came out to be $12 with a drink but it was worth it.

The meat was still moist and juicy. And with the crunchy mushroom pattie filled with cheese on top, it was just like heaven!! The place was packed with guys, only like 2 girls in the entire place waiting. Guess this is a dude's hangout place!
