Smoke's Poutinerie
Had a craving for some good poutine. Had a crazy thought of going to Montreal to get some good poutine (even looked up bus times and cost) but no, I didn't do that. Instead, looked up blogTO (my fav site about TO) and looked up the top poutine places in TO and landed on this place. There were a lot of selections, I always thought poutine was only with gravy and cheese curds but nope, anything you can imagine you can add, they add. I tried the "Hogtown" which consists of Italian sausage, smoked bacon, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions on top of the traditional poutine.
It was very very heavy and really salty. The caramelized onions were sweet which help balance out the taste. I only ordered the regular size and I couldn't finish it. I think there was too much stuff on it for me. Next time, I will just get a regular poutine to see the true taste.
