Ok, so before the series started, my expectations were very low on the Leafs as they were playing against the Bruins which is a WAY more experience team. I said that I would be surprised if they carry it out to Game 7. And as they did, the Leafs did force a Game 7, coming back from 3-1 down in the series and winning the next 2 games to tie the series at 3-3. It was a life death game and it was nerve wrecking to watch. But then the Leafs scored 4 goals and had a 4-1 lead with 5 minutes remaining in the game. All I had in my mind (and probably every Leaf fans' mind) was that they won it, its over.... we are moving on to Round 2 of the playoffs.

But then, within the next 3 minutes, our excitement turned downhill with the Bruins scoring 3 goals to tie the game in the next 5 minutes. I was stunned and shocked and in disbelief. WTF happened??? Were we all too excited and lost concentration in the game? How did we give up the 3 goal lead. I was so frustrated watching. I had to go to the gym and workout as I couldn't bare to watch anymore. Watching OT at the gym was intense. Everyone there was on the TV... I know they were going to lose out as the Leafs just doesn't have the energy anymore. And as I was right, the Bruins scored the winning goal in OT. For the rest of the night, my heart was empty, like someone ripped it out... can't believe it, they were so close. I just couldn't watch anymore recaps of the game or anything Leafs relating. It was sad to watch the heart broken fans walking away from Maple Leaf Square, some were even crying.
Oh well, they fought the battle and I'm sure they have shocked lots of critics by forcing a Game 7. I guess now I will have more time to do something else with Leafs out of the playoffs.
The playoffs were overcasting the finales of my 2 TV shows - HIMYM finale was tonight and I did watch it - and they finally revealed who the mother was. Finally, after 8 seasons! Next season is going to be last....it's kind of sad... what will I watch after?? TBBT finale is this Thursday....so something to look forward to. But it also means I am out of shows to watch for the next 3 months.
